Calgary, AB –Monday September 10th thru Wednesday September 12th
Monday September 10th –Pumps for Fire Protection
This one-day program provides attendees with vital information about the design and installation of fire pumps. The NFPA 20 and the NFPA Fire Pump Handbook are used as reference material. This is an intermediate level class. This seminar is designed to increase the participant’s knowledge and application of fire pumps in fire protection systems and to familiarize the attendee with the NFPA Standards that govern the proper design and installation of fire pumps.
Tuesday September 11th-Review of NFPA 25 –Inspection, Testing & Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems
This one-day seminar describes the responsibility of the owner, contractor and authority having jurisdiction in maintaining a working water based fire protection system. The seminar is based upon NFPA 25, and is a basic level class. The seminar will provide attendees with the understanding of the need and requirements to inspect test and maintain a fire protection system, and to familiarize participants with procedures for inspecting, testing and maintaining each system.
Wednesday September 12th - Sprinkler Protection for Dwellings
This one-day seminar describes the responsibilities of the designer, installing contractor and the authority having jurisdiction for proper installation of sprinkler systems in dwellings. This seminar is limited to one-two family dwellings and manufactured homes. This seminar will provide the attendees with the understanding of proper design and installation of sprinkler systems in dwellings.
Edmonton, AB –Thursday September 13th and Friday September 14th
Thursday September 13th –Hydraulic Calculations for Sprinkler Systems
This one-day program will concentrate on the hydraulics component of the design phase of water based fire protection systems. This seminar discusses theory and application of hydraulic calculations, to prove the design of the system will meet the water supply available as described in NFPA 13-2011.
Friday September 14th –Sprinkler Protection for Dwellings
This one-day seminar describes the responsibilities of the designer, installing contractor and the authority having jurisdiction for proper installation of sprinkler systems in dwellings. This seminar is limited to one-two family dwellings and manufactured homes. This seminar will provide the attendees with the understanding of proper design and installation of sprinkler systems in dwellings.
