Jasper Fire Chief raising funds for MS

Dear potential supporter,

My name is Greg Van Tighem; I am the Fire Chief for the Municipality of Jasper and I am on a mission to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. I am committed to raising funds for all those who suffer from MS. Multiple Sclerosis is a terrible condition but (with your support) it is one that can and will be beaten. Thanks to the generous contributions of many people just like you there have been many recent breakthroughs in MS research. I truly believe that we are getting close to finding a cure.

As team captain of the Jasper FD Rockhoppers Bike Team I'll be riding in the MS Mountain Bike Tour again this year in mid September. The event is a two day cross country adventure in the foothills north of Hinton AB. The challenging course covers 95km with a vertical ascent of over 5400 feet.

Thanks to the help of many supporters such as you, I raised over $32,000.00 for MS last year. Our team, the Rockhoppers ended up first overall in funds raised and contributed over $68,000.00 to the cause. The tour of almost 300 riders managed over $400,000.00.

This year I've increased my personal goal substantially. I personally aim to raise $50,000.00 to help end MS. It's very difficult to get to an amount this large, so your help is critical. Any size donation will help! I have less then three months to raise the funds to meet my goal. (Please spread the word amongst your friends and co-workers)
